Meet Woman of the Week, Sheila H. from Memphis,TN!
We can tell that Sheila ‘loves the life she’s in’ because she lives it with gusto, heart, and dedication. She coaches youth, plays bingo and “loves her family endlessly.” While Sheila also puts in 10-hour shifts at a big brand-name shoe warehouse, she absolutely loves her coworkers—which helps those hours pass more quickly.
Her biggest struggle and triumph? “Staying true to church…13 years.” As “a woman of God, my faith is what keeps me going above and beyond.” Faith and family. Sheila specifically calls out her father’s influence in her life. “My father taught me how to be the lady I am today.” What a blessing!
And what about style? Sheila loves dressing up for church parties and concerts, wearing something no one else has and experimenting with different wigs. Her best advice to us is to not worry what other people think about us: “Ladies, whatever you do: always be true to yourself and look good to yourself.” And THAT is truly great advice we can get behind.
