This Chicago native drove cross-country at 22-years-old to pursue her entertainment career in Hollywood. Now with a decade of industry experience, Mrs. Angela Marie Hutchinson has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television, and the Grammys. Angela Marie is a producer, casting director, former talent agent and author of six books. She has written a memoir “Breaking into Hollywood,” four children’s picture books, and an e-Book, “DBA: Doing Business As,” which was named by Rolling Out magazine as a “the go-to guide for entrepreneurs on how to launch a business in 24 hours.”  

 Angela produced her first feature film, “Hollywood Chaos,” which she also wrote and cast starring Vanessa Simmons with an ensemble cast. The film was distributed by Breaking Glass Pictures, released on Hulu and now available on Amazon.

 As a Casting Director, Hutchinson has cast veteran actors such as Billy Dee Williams, Vanessa Williams, Lynn Whitfield and other stars in movies, TV pilots, short films and web series. Prior to casting, Angela worked as a talent agent for two years at a boutique agency in Hollywood. There, she repped actors, models, music artists and youth talent across the board. She also oversaw the youth commercial and print modeling divisions. She was featured on the cover of one of the entertainment industry’s leading publications, Backstage West, and often participated in their “Ask an Agent” column. 

An alumnus of the University of Michigan, Angela earned her B.S.E. in Industrial & Operations Engineering. She also has a Cross-Media Journalism certificate from USC. She has been a featured speaker at notable film festivals, showcases and conferences, as well as within the faith-based community. In October 2005, Angela was elected as the first African American president of The Scriptwriters Network (SWN), since the non-profit organization was founded in 1986. During her year tenure, she established diversity initiatives, including partnering SWN with ABC/Disney’s Talent Grant Program. 

 Angela has a sincere passion for networking. In May 2005, she founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD (BiH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for entertainment professionals to learn from established pros within the Film, TV, Music, Digital, Sports & Fashion industries. Due to the non-profit organization’s growth, over 3,000 participants from around the world have attended the various  She is also the Creator and Executive Producer of The BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD Show,” which aired daily on Transit TV with over 1.15 million viewers.

 In addition to Angela’s work in entertainment, she served as Managing Editor of a law magazine for five years. Angela is also active in her community and has served on several boards. She was appointed to the Los Angeles County of Education’s Regional Occupation Advisory Committee for the arts. She is also a former Los Angeles City Official. 

 Angela is committed to balancing work with her family and personal life. She has been married to her husband for 15 vibrant years, and they have three young children. In Angela’s leisure time, she enjoys mentoring youth, rollerblading, playing badminton, and spending time with friends and family. ”Life’s difficulties prepare us for the victories!”
