Ashro Woman: Dorothy S.

Meet Ashro Woman of the Week, Dorothy S. from Berwyn, IL

This talented woman has a heart of gold—and a gift for sewing. In fact, she makes all of her own clothes (except for the ones she buys from Ashro once a year). Looking pretty is fun for Dorothy.

Sometimes she’ll dress up just to sit in her backyard and admire her flower garden. As a Christian, however, Dorothy doesn’t keep it to herself. She shares her passion for fashion and talent for sewing with others in a two-fold ministry: teaching young people how to sew and making custom prom gowns for girls that are trying hard in school. What a great way to use her gifts!

As a self-employed woman, Dorothy truly enjoys answering to herself. She credits her husband and son as her greatest influences. “They have always believed in my dreams and supported me for working on each and every one of them.” As you can imagine, Dorothy takes care of them right back through encouragement and care…not to mention her best dish: ribeye steak with baked potatoes. YUM.
