Ashro Woman: Michell

Meet Ashro Woman of the Week, Michell from Virginia
“Treat yourself well because you only have one you.”
Born and raised in West Africa, Michell is a mother and grandmother, a social worker, and a woman of committed faith. “I believe in God, and He has blessed my life greatly,” she says. She has been deeply influenced by her mother, a Christian woman who “works hard for everything.”
Michell has continued that same path—working and going to school at the same time, earning membership in the Phi Alpha Honor Society, and choosing a field that runs headfirst into heartbreaking challenges.
How does she keep up her energy and focus? “Love,” Michell says. “I love my children and grandkids—and this is the best feeling ever.”
