Meet Woman of the Week, Arnetta from Cincinnati, OH

This fabulous hat-wearing fashionista is a wife, mother, grandmother…and people person. After 25 enjoyable years in the fashion business, Arnetta has traded daily conversations with customers for daily FaceTime chats with her young granddaughter. Retirement is sweet!

Arnetta also loves to give back to her community. She volunteers for a nonprofit and plans an upscale Mother’s Day Dinner and Fashion Show every year. “Each time I attend an event, I want my outfit to be better than the one before.” This remarkable fashionista always represents her beautiful best.

How would you describe the Ashro woman? How do you embody her?
	Self confidence, strong personality, Caring for others.
What makes you get up every morning?
	My faith in God, My family
What do you do for a living? What do you like most about it? What don’t you like?
	I am a retired communications worker. I love talking with my customers. I am a people person.
How do you spend your free time?
	I am a caregiver for my husband who has chronic back pain. I also do a Mother’s Day dinner and Fashion Show every Mother’s Day at a upscale venue in Mason Ohio.
What small thing makes you happy?
	Seeing my granddaughter every day on FaceTime and seeing how happy she is.
What is your best dish? Who do you make it for—and where do you typically serve it?
	My this dish is making chili for my husband.
Who influenced you the most in your life. Why? And in what way?
	My grandmother Who always told me to be the best that I can in life and let no one and nothing stop me.
Do you volunteer or do charity work? Tell us about it!
	I volunteer for a nonprofit organization in my city that helps minority people.
What do you love about fashion and style?
	I have been in the fashion business for over 25 years I love to dress.
Has anyone in particular influenced your style?
	There was a local model in our city that taught so many of us how to model and how to dress.
What occasions/events do you dress up for? (for example-do you often dress up for church, cultural events, charity events, going out, etc.) And how often do you typically get dressed up?
	I dress up going to church always wearing a hat I go to different events where when I walk into a room people are acknowledging how well I look it makes me feel good.
How has your style evolved over time?
	Each time that I attend an event I want my outfit to be better than the one before that I’ve worn.

	I am a strong woman of faith, Without him I would be lost.
Do you attend church? What church do you go to and what do you love most about it?
	I attend Corinthian Baptist Church in Cincinnati Ohio I love hearing my pastor preach God’s word.
How are you passing along your faith traditions onto your children/grandchildren?
	Letting him know that they have to believe in God letting them know with God all things are possible if you believe.
Your best advice?
	Live your life every day as is if it’s your last day on this earth and always believe in God
What lessons has motherhood (or being a grandmother) taught you?
	To be the best mother and grandmother I can possibly be
