Ashro Woman: Michelle G.

Text overlay announces Michelle G. as "Woman of the Week" from Charlotte, NC, with a soft-focus background.

Meet Ashro Woman of the Week, Michelle G. from Charlotte, NC

This beautiful wife and mother of 3 is a hardworking woman of faith. Not only is she a speech/language pathologist and founder of her own 501c3 (Virtuous Communications), she just earned her doctorate in pastoral/biblical counseling.

Congratulations, Michelle—on your accomplishments and 25 years of marriage! “In this picture, I am standing with my best friend and husband in Honolulu Hawaii as we renewed our vows in honor of our 25th anniversary. My husband and I were in kindergarten together. Now we’re married with 3 children of our own. What God has joined no man can put asunder.”

Name
Michelle G.
Which city do you live?
Charlotte
Which state do you live?
NC
How would you describe the Ashro woman? How do you embody her?
I would describe the Ashro woman as being similar to the 21st Century Proverbs 31 Woman. She takes pride in the details of life, no matter what is happening. Morals, integrity, and character are her standard for dealing with life issues in the areas of spouses, children, careers, businesses and ministry. My motto is to “let your light so shine so that others can see your good works and glorify God who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16” I have dedicated all areas of my life to live a “blessed life” so that I can be a blessing to others. As the the embodiment of an Ashro woman, I take pride in my outward appearance as well as my inward appearance!
What do you do for a living? What do you like most about it? What don’t you like?
I am a seasoned speech-language pathologist. I have enjoyed working with clients birth through geriatrics (100 year olds) over the past 30 years. I feel as though I am moving into biblical counseling as I will earn a doctorate in pastoral/biblical counseling in July 2022. I will be able to use the principles of speech pathology along with my ministry in such a time as this!
How do you spend your free time?
I am the mother of 3 young adult children. So, I now enjoy spending time with my husband of 28 years. My other hobbies include working out, reading and socializing with friends.
What small thing makes you happy?
I love to help other people to discover their god given purpose.
Do you volunteer or do charity work? Tell us about it!
I am the founder of Virtuous Communications, Inc 501c3 whose mission is to equip, educate and empower men, women and youth using 21st Century biblical principles to live victorious lives spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally. We host empowerment conferences, vision board brunches, workshops, bible studies, and 5K run to provide scholarship assistance and support to those in need.
Are you a woman of faith? How does that faith affect your life? Please tell us more.
Yes, I am a Woman of God who spends time in intercessory prayer on behalf of others.
Are you a First Lady or a Pastor?
Yes
If yes, tell us about it.
I am a servant leader who is called to share the good news in the marketplace and throughout my region.
Are you an Ashro Credit customer? If so, how has our credit helped you?
Yes, this credit has allowed me to look my finest at all the right times and occasions! My family and friends always inquire about where I purchase my clothes.
Do you have a memory to share of when you first heard about Ashro or when you received your first catalog?
The first Ashro catalog came many years ago when I was not in a financial situation to purchase clothing for special occasions ( as my children were young and needed things for their extra curricular activities at that time). I was not able to invest much into myself at that time. When I saw the model on the cover, I remember thinking I could look as elegant as she did (smile). The credit allowed me to purchase a few quality things which has lasted a long time. So, now I have a wardrobe of beautiful gowns/pantsuits to choose from when I attend weddings and formal affairs. Thanks Ashro!
