Ashro Woman: Carolyn M.
Meet Ashro Woman of the Week, Carolyn from Waldorf, MD!
āWhen youāre feeling bad, STAND TALL, STEP TALL AND OWN THE MOMENT.ā
At a gorgeous 68 years old, Carolyn is always turning heads. āWhen I enter a roomā¦my outfits from my hats to my shoes say, āLOOK AT ME. I LOOK GOOD.ā She learned that kind of confidence from her mother and her auntie.
āI was always told to never go out without making up your faceā¦to dress upāeven when you go to the market.ā Her mother and her auntie also showed her how to intentionally set and live out her priorities. āI had my daughter at a very young ageā¦My auntie taught me that I was always 2nd. My daughter would always be 1st.
I put my daughter through college as well as attending college on my own.ā Now retired, Carolyn enjoys doing whatever she wants, loving on her grand (and great grand) kids, and having time with her husband. āItās now my time. Time for my husband and myself. Time to keep traveling and enjoying our life together.ā
Since itās just the two of them now, they take their meals in their family room and often enjoy Carolynās best dish, Turkey Wings, together. YUM. Thanks for inspiring us, Carolyn!
